basically this person ha been taken over by a flora based parasite which to begin with is benevolent and aids the overall health and well being of the human host before taking a sinister hold of the vessel before spreading its roots through the body giving the human a more plant like appearance before ultimately killing the host and becoming a tree in which to continue the existence of its kind
